The Supreme Court of Nigeria has fixed Wednesday, December 18, 2019, for the hearing of an appeal filed by the candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Ogun State, Honourable Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, against the election of Dapo Abiodun as governor of the State.
Akinlade and his party, the Allied People’s Movement (APM) is seeking to upturn the verdicts of the election petition tribunal and the Court Appeal which upheld the election of Dapo Abiodun.

However, in a statement made available to the Tribune Online on Sunday, the APM through its Acting Publicity Secretary, Olumide Balogun, called for calm among its members, urging them to remain steadfast in their fasting and prayers and look up to God for justice to prevail.
While commending APM members for their tremendous support all this while, Honourable Adekunle Akinlade, urged the people of Ogun State to be law-abiding, avoid unnecessary arguments and remain hopeful for success at the Supreme Court.
