A former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has urged Nigerians to give their total support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so that he can move the country forward.
He commended the administration of President Tinubu for introducing welfare packages aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
Answering questions from journalists at his residence in Talata-Mafara on why he was distributing welfare packages to the entire people of the state instead of concentrating on his constituency, Yari said, he served as a governor of the state for two terms, as such he would continue to render his assistance to the entire people of the state.
Yari maintained that Zamfara state was still his constituency and not Zamfara West Senatorial Zone alone.
He maintained that though he was elected as a Senator for Zamfara West Senatorial Zone, he would not forget the people who elected him as governor for two consecutive terms
“I was the Governor of the state for two terms, so I think it is not wise for me to forget the people of the state when it comes to the provision of welfare packages.
“My other reason for expanding the assistance to the entire people of the state is that, I think, as a Muslim, I should not limit my sadaqah ( charity) to only the people of my constituency, it’s beyond that.
“I will give sadaqah to everybody irrespective of political inclination because I want the Almighty Allah to be pleased with me,” Yari said.
