Students of College of Health Technology, Ningi in Bauchi State have been advised to ensure that they faced their studies and work hard with all seriousness so as to contribute their quota to the healthcare delivery in Bauchi State after their graduation with excellent results.
The advice was given by the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abubakar Y Suleiman during the 2019/2020 Matriculation Ceremony of the College which took place at the College’s complex in Ningi, Monday.
The Speaker who was the Special Guest of Honour during the ceremony said that Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammad Abdulkadir has already declared an ’emergency’ on the health sector so as to revamp health for the good of the people of Bauchi State.
Abubakar Sulaiman said: “I believe everybody will agree with me that the governor means business. He has done so many things toward revamping the health sector. As I know him very well, I am very sure he will do more and before the end of his first tenure, the health sector will In Sha Allah be a very new and commendable sector.”

“I, therefore, call on you to be hardworking and face your studies with all seriousness so as to help the governor revamp health sector in the State,” he further said.
Abubakar Suleiman also commended the Acting Provost of the College, Alhaji Garba Hussaini, for his purposeful management and giant strides in the College.
While calling on the staff and students of the College to cooperate with him, the speaker also advised him to do more to give the College new face as contained in a statement by Abdul Ahmad Burra, Spokesperson to the Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly.
Provost of the College while addressing the matriculating students warned them to shun vices that will negatively affect their studies declaring that the College will not tolerate any act of cultism and examination malpractice.
He then commended the state government for the attention given to the College requesting however that more can still be done for the development of the College.
