President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday assigned portfolios to no fewer than 46 newly appointed ministers.
Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the President on media and publicity, made this known while briefing State House Correspondents in Abuja,
He said that the swearing-in is expected by next week after the retreat by the office of the secretary to the government of the federation.
However, the likes of Stella Okotete (the kabash ministerial-nominee), immediate-past governor of Kaduna, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and Abubakar Danladi were conspicuously missing in the list.
The trio, TRIBUNE ONLINE reports, were not confirmed by Senate after screening based on security reasons.
Among the newly appointed ministers are: Ali Pate, a professor, as Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, and Lateef Fagbemi as Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. Ex-Jigawa Governor Mohamed Badaru was named Minister of Defence while Ex-Kebbi Governor Atiku Bagudu was named Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, the list endless. FULL LIST
