The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, on Monday, ordered the immediate arrest of Kashim Afegbua, the spokesman of the former military president, General Ibrahim Babanginda.
The IGP’s order was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday night by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Jimoh Moshood.
According to the FPRO, “the IGP ‘s gave the order on the arrest of Afegbua “for making false statements, injurious falsehood, defamation of character and for an act capable of inciting public disturbance throughout the country.
“He is therefore declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force and should report at the nearest police station anywhere he is in the country.”
