Critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s peace and security are set to converge in Abuja for an international peace conference aimed at strengthening the nation’s unity and integration.
The 14th Peace Achievers International Conference, themed “Building Bridges for Sustainable Peace and Security: Integrating Sectors for a Harmonious Future,” will bring together security and defense agencies, civil society organizations, youth leaders, community leaders, trade and professional unions, students, and the general public.
The conference aims to explore ways to reduce antagonism, division, and separatist agitation, fostering a culture of peace, unity, and tolerance.
The event, which seeks to build bridges of security and de-escalate ethnic tensions, will take place at Abuja Continental Hotel on November 23, 2024.
The morning session begins at 10 a.m., while the evening session will feature an All-White Gala Dinner and Awards Night.

The conference is organized by Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, in partnership with the Peace Ambassador Agency, an organization dedicated to promoting peace and community development in Africa.
The Project Director for Africa, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, stated that the nation is at a crossroads due to rampant insecurity and increasing disintegration. He emphasized that now is the time for deep conversations to prevent the country’s fortunes from declining further.
According to him, peace is a collective effort, and everyone must contribute to building a harmonious future. He called on all stakeholders to participate in initiatives that promote productivity and national intelligence.
