As early as a few minutes past 10am, the workers gathered and commenced their march at the first floor where the office of the Director of Finance and Administration is located, chanting songs that Sanni Garba be immediately removed.
They lamented the failure of both Sanni and Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Mahmoud Isa-Dutse to return the funds meant for payment of the allowances to treasury.
Some of the unpaid allowances in contention include Easter bonus for rice and groundnut oil; training allowances, and welfare package for those injured during official duties, all not paid.
They also demonstrated in front of the permanent secretary’s office on the fourth floor before proceeding to the minister’s office on the seventh floor.
The workers asked Kemi Adeosun to ensure that both the permanent secretary and director are redeployed.
