The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, has described as painful the death of a member of the federal parliament in the Second Republic, Alhaji Sidi Ali.
Ali, a veteran journalist and ex-lawmaker, died on Thursday at the age of 86.
Speaker Abbas, in his condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, said the late Ali was a good ambassador of the National Assembly until his death.
He also described the late Ali as one of the brilliant minds from the northern part of Nigeria.
The Speaker, while commiserating with the late Sidi Ali’s family, the people, and the government of Kano State, prayed to Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
