Speaker Abbas mourns ex-Labour leader, Ali Ciroma

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, on Thursday, expressed sadness over the death of a former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Alhaji Ali Chiroma.

The Speaker, in a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, described the late Ali Ciroma as a patriotic Nigerian who made sacrifices for the country.

Speaker Abbas recalled how the late labour leader used his God-given talent and leadership qualities to advance the labour movement and unite the different labour unions under the umbrella of NLC during his term as the president of the organization between 1984 and 1988.

He sent his condolences to the people and government of Borno State over the loss.

Speaker Abbas equally prayed for the repose of the soul of Alhaji Ali Ciroma.
