Popular model and actor Song Jae Rim, renowned for his role in The Moon Embracing the Sun, has tragically passed away at the age of 39 at his home in Seoul.
The Seongdong Police Station confirmed the news, stating that a two-page letter was found at the scene. While officials have withheld additional information about his passing, Soompi reported that the authorities said, “At this point in the investigation, there are no signs of foul play.”
Song Jae Rim was widely celebrated for his portrayal of a bodyguard in The Moon Embracing the Sun. His impressive career spanned various notable roles in popular K-dramas, including Two Weeks, Unkind Ladies, Queen Woo, and My Military Valentine. He made his acting debut in 2009, portraying a photographer in Actresses.
In addition to his acting career, Song Jae Rim was admired for his engaging personality and remarkable ability to connect with viewers.
His charm was further amplified when he appeared on the fourth season of We Got Married, where he was paired with actress Kim So-Eun. The chemistry between them led to their nickname, “Soeun-Jaerim couple,” becoming a fan-favourite pairing.
Reflecting on relationships, Song Jae Rim once shared, “I think the key to a happy relationship is trust and communication.”
