Sokoto APC warns LG executive against sabotaging govt policies

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has warned leaders of the party at the local government levels against sabotaging policies and programmes of the state government.

The state chairman of the party, Isa Sadiq Achida, gave the warning during the swearing-in of the new chairmen of the Goronyo and Tambuwal local government areas on Tuesday.

Acida also warned them against doing anything capable of causing disunity among their members.

“As leaders, you are expected to see all members of the party as your own. Don’t say this one like me, and this one doesn’t.

“They are all your members; carry everybody along. Also, do not give room for factionalization of the party in your areas,” he warned

Achida said that the APC-led government in the state was bringing different policies and programmes aimed at improving the living standards of the citizenry.

“So a successful implementation of these programmes in your areas. Any chairman found sabotaging the government would face the consequences of his actions,” he said

Those sworn in include Alhaji Hassan Sayyinna and Sa’idu Muhammad Goronyo of Tambuwal and Goronyo local government areas.

Sayyinna was the deputy chairman of the party in the area before his elevation, following the death of the former chairman of the party.

Similarly, Muhammad was replacing the former chairman of the party in the Goronyo local government area, who is now the sole administrator of the area.
