Simple ways to care for your nails after fixing them

Getting your nails done can make your hands look beautiful, but keeping them that way requires intentional care and attention.

How can you keep your fingers as beautiful as when you first fixed your nails when you have to use them all day? Are there some nail care routines that can help you keep them clean, healthy, and without damage?

The following are easy ways you can care for your nails after you fix them:

1. Moisturise regularly

Why should you keep your nails moisturised? After all, they are not your natural nails. Good question. It’s essential to moisturise your nails from time to time to prevent chipping or breakage of your nails. You can use oil or hand cream to get this done. They’ll prevent your nails and your skin – the one around your nails, from drying out.

2. Protect them

A sure way to care for your nails after fixing them is to protect them from different elements like dirt, germs, etc. So, to protect your nails, you can wear gloves when doing chores like cleaning with chemicals, washing dishes or washing clothes. Why do you need to wear gloves?

Cleaning products like bleach, detergent, or water can weaken nail polish or synthetic nails and cause them to peel or displace them.

3. Avoid using nails inappropriately

You want to care for your nails, right? Then, avoid using them in place of tools. You might be tempted to open cans, remove stickers off hard surfaces, scratch rough surfaces or do other things because your nails may look strong, but it’s a bad idea. Resist the temptation by using proper tools instead of relying on your nails.

4. Handle gently

If you put pressure on your nails, they’ll fall apart or break. So, try to avoid too much pressure on your nails like hitting them on hard surfaces, biting your nails, or washing hard fabrics with them. Pressure will only take them out of shape and weaken them.

So, care for your nails by avoiding pressure by all means.

5. Reapply nail polish or topcoat

Another sure way to care for your nails is to reapply a clear topcoat every few days to keep your polish or synthetic nails shiny and prevent chipping. Regularly touching them up can help maintain the shiny and beautiful look for longer.

Taking care of your nails after fixing them is simple and important. Regular moisturising, gentle care, and protection during daily tasks will ensure that your nails stay healthy and beautiful for much longer. What other nail care tips do you know about?
