Fan clubs of the late Fuji music icon, Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, will be reconvening in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital this year for their regular music festival they christened Barry Festival or BarriFest.

BarriFest 2024, according to Asiwaju Ademola Adesingbin, Secretary of BarryFest, in a statement, will feature the usual activities that promote good health among the various members of the fan clubs worldwide; friendship, conviviality and unity among the fans of Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (SAB).

Adesingbin in the statement said the events would commence on Friday, February 9 with posthumous birthday prayers for Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (SAB) at the Muftau Lanihun Mosque, Ibadan. This, he added, would be followed by the unveiling of a cenotaph built in memory of the music legend at the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The opening day’s activities would be rounded off with a gala night at the Ilaji Hotel and Resort in Akanran, Ibadan.

Day Two of events billed for Saturday, February 10, 2024, will be chaired by the Senator representing Oyo South District, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli while Yeye Adunola Oredolapo Adesuyi will be the chairperson of the day. The guest speaker will be Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu.
