THE Federal Government has been commended by a renowned Islamic movement, Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, over its efforts to address the nation’s challenges.
The organiation, however, pointed out that its efforts have not been practically felt by the citizens.
Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, therefore, advised the government to intensify efforts on the diversification of the economy with emphasis on agricultural values and youth empowerment.
These were was contained in a communique issued after the second quarterly meeting of the mission at Wakajaye, Ibadan and which was jointly signed by the founder, spiritual head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabit Olagoke, and Mr Teribiya Aderinto.
On next year’s general election, the organisation implored politicians and political parties to refrain from hate speeches, campaign of calumny and such unholy acts that might heat up the polity.
It said they should to be altruistic and legacy-driven in their mission and vision for positive governance.
Regarding insecurity like Boko Haram insurgency, herdsmen attacks and others, Shafaudeen commended the efforts of the Federal Government but emphasised the need to restrategise and lay more emphasis on intelligence gathering.
