Sex tape scandal: Tiwa Savage may lose multi-million naira endorsement deals

Music diva and performer, Tiwa Savage is currently embroiled in a fresh scandal that could put her career in jeopardy and damage her public image. The singer during an interview with American OAP, Angie Martinez of Power 105.1 said someone was threatening to release her sex video if she failed to pay a certain amount of money.

Savage who is not taking the threat lightly said she had to speak out about the disturbing development when she received a sex tape of herself and boyfriend, saying that she was worried about what the person in possession of the video could do with it.

While she insisted that she would not pay a dime to whoever has the video, the singer seemed to be jolted as she feared that the sex tape would have an adverse effect on her career and public image, which has not really enjoyed positive media.

Findings by R on Friday revealed that Savage who gave her dad a befitting burial some weeks back in Lagos may lose some of her mouthwatering endorsement deals with top brands within and outside the country as a top source revealed that “some of her foreign partners and investors are currently observing the development and may not want to be associated with the singer if a sex tape is released to the public”.

Speaking on how she felt about the threat and what it could do to her career and her family, particularly her son, Savage alleged that someone was trying to blackmail her with the video, insisting that she would not pay a dime for what she described as ‘natural’.

The mother of one whose marriage to TeeBlizz, father of her son, Jamil crashed some years back added that she had decided not to pay those blackmailing her for ‘doing something natural’, even as she feared that her son should never see the video.

“I have decided I was not going to pay the person because if I do, two months from now, three months down the line or even two years later, you are going to come back again.

“Who knows if I send the money, the person will probably release it. I am not going to let anyone blackmail me for doing something natural.”

She noted that the video was not from her team; rather she said, it was accidentally posted on Snapchat by her lover, who deleted it immediately when he realized the error he had committed when it was too late.
