The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those affected by a tragic auto crash in Okene, Kogi State, which claimed six lives and left five others injured.
In a statement issued by her Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan described the incident as deeply disturbing and called for greater caution among road users.
“My heart goes out to the families of the victims and the injured. May the bereaved families find solace and strength in this difficult time, and may the injured recover swiftly and fully,” she stated.

She offered prayers for the souls of the departed and comfort for their loved ones, while urging motorists to strictly observe traffic regulations to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
Emphasising the importance of road safety education, particularly for commercial drivers, the Senator called for heightened awareness campaigns to help reduce the risk of accidents on Nigerian roads.
She further urged relevant government agencies to investigate the cause of the crash and implement measures to prevent a recurrence. “The government must prioritise road safety and take concrete actions to ensure that our roads are safe for all users,” she said.
