Senator Dariye lauds Remi Tinubu’s philanthropy on 64th birthday

As the first lady of Nigeria clocks 64th, former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua Dariye, has lauded her philanthropic gesture and unwavering commitment to impact lives and transform society.

Senator Dariye described her as an exceptional, compassionate, and purpose-driven woman who is adding value to lives, adding that her humanitarian interventions to the vulnerable population in Nigeria have helped in putting smiles on the faces of people passing through one challenge or the other.

The former governor, in a statement, recalled with nostalgia how Sen. Oluremi Tinubu added value to democracy, legislation, and governance when she was the First Lady of Lagos State as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and her role in nation-building as the First Lady.

“Having served with our amiable First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, in the 7th and 8th Senates, I can attest to her impact and indefatigable leadership prowess. She is a mother and a charismatic leader who is passionate about impacting and building lives.

“We felt her impact in Plateau State when, through her Renewed Hope Initiative Foundation, she donated Five Hundred Million Naira (N500,000,000) to persons affected by violence attacks to ameliorate their sufferings and improve their living conditions. She is doing a lot in other states, and we are appreciative of her humanitarian interventions for the vulnerable population in Nigeria. Notable also is her donation of five hundred million naira to the Maiduguri, Borno State flood victims.”

He commended the First Lady for impacting and adding value to numerous Nigerians through her pet project, Renewed Hope Initiative Foundation (RHIF), a strategic programme with the aim to cater for Nigerian youths, women, children, and the less-privileged to make them economically stable and useful to themselves and society.

Senator Dariye also lauded her contributions to the unity, progress, and development of the nation. He noted how the First Lady is standing in the gap for the nation as an intercessor. He commended her virtues of humility, kindness, and empathy.

The Senator urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the First Lady so that she can continue the good works she is accustomed to and provide the needed support to her husband, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to succeed.

Senator Dariye prayed God to grant her a long life, sound health, and the wisdom to impact more lives.
