The former Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has prayed to God to uplift, protect, and provide for the most vulnerable in society, particularly the children of orphanages and the fatherless.
Senator Anyim made the appeal on Monday while thanking God for adding another year to his life.
He also prayed for the young men and women who are not employed in Nigeria.
He said, “Today is my 63rd birthday.
“To the glory of God, it has been 63 eventful years. I woke up this morning, and the only urge I felt was to thank God for His love and mercies.
“At 63, my foremost wish is for God to uplift, protect, and provide for the most vulnerable in society, particularly the children of the orphanages, the fatherless, and our young men and women who are not employed.
“Accordingly, my 63rd birthday prayers and meditations are for them.
May the Almighty grant us more equitable opportunities in life in Jesus’ name.
