The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan has commended the Federal government Back to Farm initiative, by the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).
This was made known when he received the Executive secretary of NALDA, Prince Paul Ikonne in his office.
Prince Ikonne said that time has come for Nigerians to see farming as a sustainable business as championed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He appealed to the lawmakers to engage their constituents by providing Lands in all LGAs of the Federation, for the program.
According to him, NALDA was set to engage all stakeholders in the Pilot programme scheduled to begin soon.
The NALDA Executive Secretary explained that farmlands across the Nation will be prepared in clusters and cultivated using farm technologies and sustained by the Agency for the benefit of the growing Population.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan expressed delight at the resurgence of NALDA. He said that the National Assembly would engage her constituencies to embrace the Back to Farm initiative.
He urged NALDA to develop a system whereby the farmers would have a ready and steady market to sell their Agricultural produce.
