The Senate has just passed the bill seeking to establish the Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba, in Kogi State, for a second reading.
It was sponsored by Sen. Karimi Sunday (APC, Kogi-West).
Sunday, who is the Chairman, Senate Services, is pushing for the upgrade of the College of Agriculture Kabba, to the status of a university, through the bill.
It’s one of the series of efforts at the Senate to make the university become a reality.
Four other education-related bills passed their first reading on Thursday.
On the list are the Federal University of Gusau, Zamfara State (Establishment) Bill; Federal Polytechnics Act (Amendment) Bill; Federal Technical and Vocational Colleges Bill; and Federal University of Mining Engineering and Technology, Nasarawa State (Establishment) Bill.
