THE Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Zuba in Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja, CSP Bashir Kontagora, has tasked residents of the area to always share vital security information with the police as a way to reduce crime rate to the barest minimum in the area.
He assured them that police would always treat information shared with them confidentially.
Speaking while interacting with a cross section of residents of the area, Kontagora encouraged them to always regard crime prevention and control as a collective responsibility.
He urged community and religious leaders to be mindful of movement of strangers visiting the communities.
According to him, such measure would assist in identifying bad eggs capable of perpetrating crime in the future.
The police officer assured people of the area of adequate protection at all times.
