Save Nigerians from trauma, pains, PFN president tells Tinubu

Published by

National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has urged President Bola Tinubu and his cabinet to, as a matter of urgency, save Nigerians from the pains they are going through as a result of the current situation in the country.

Oke stated this while addressing newsmen at the end of the three-day Pentecostal Leadership Retreat held at Waniq Event Centre, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State, lamenting that people are already traumatised and are finding it difficult to survive.

Oke, who is also the founder of The Sword of The Spirit Ministries International, commended President Tinubu for the spread of political offices, adding that it is a departure from the lopsided appointments by the immediate past administration.

“Nigerians are already traumatised. I will advise President Tinubu to relieve Nigerians of their pains. He should fight their battles and not fight them. Now that elections are over, he should try to bring everyone together and not fight any perceived political opponents.

“President Tinubu should know that Nigerians are in pain. For the past eight years, it has been very traumatic for the citizens. They have suffered all manners of evil ranging from kidnapping, terrorism to the killing of innocent people. Save Nigerians from their trauma and pains, don’t add to it.”

According to the cleric: “We are fighting an economic war and a war of survival. Tinubu should not mark any group of people as a target. If you treat them well, they will serve you well.”

Bishop Oke urged President Tinubu not to exclude any group based on ethnic or other considerations regarding palliatives, adding that, “Bring everyone together so that we can have lasting peace.”News
