Quality Sounds Records is thrilled to announce the release of their single track, “Letter to My Mum,” written and performed by the talented Sasco Breez. Scheduled for an early release, this much-anticipated single draws inspiration from Sasco Breez’s experiences during jail terms, capturing the lamentations and prayers of prisoners yearning to return home worldwide.
The instruments, a blend of analogue and electronic elements, were skillfully played by Aymix Beats in Spain. The mixing and mastering, expertly handled by Nelson P.O.J, and vocal recording by Emmy Jose Music Production LLC in Italy, contribute to the track’s high-quality production.
Sasco Breez, born Sasco Osayamen Hope William, is a multi-award-winning indigenous rapper, prolific songwriter, singer, producer, DJ, and dancehall Afrobeat artist. Raised in Edo State, Nigeria, by his single mother Osasuyi Osayamen, Sasco Breez shares the challenges of growing up in the Adowawa ghetto of Benin City, witnessing friends succumb to gun violence and drug addiction.
Despite adversity, Sasco Breez pursued his dreams, contemplating a career as a football goalkeeper before ultimately embracing music. He faced hardships, including the loss of his father at 16, and worked at a car wash to support his family. A challenging incident at the car wash motivated him to abandon that path and focus on his musical aspirations.
His journey led him to Europe, where he briefly lost his way, resulting in a college dropout. However, Sasco Breez used these experiences to fuel his music, drawing inspiration from icons like D.M.X, 50 Cent, Lucky Dube, Victor Uwaifo, and Fela Kuti.
In Europe, he continued his musical pursuits, influenced by artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Sean Paul, D’banj, 2Baba, Erigga, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and Tory Lanez. Sasco Breez’s resilience and determination shine through, making “Letter to My Mum” a powerful and authentic expression of his life journey.
