The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) is a pressure group that would continue to promote the core values of the North which is a united North irrespective of ethnic and religious sentiments.
This assertion was made by the new Secretary General of ACF, Anthony Sani after taking over the mantle of leadership at the secretariat of the socio-cultural group along Sokoto road, Kaduna on Thursday.
According to him, the core values of North which has united the region for several years has been lost to primordial interests, stressing, we would pursue these values and unite the North again.
“As a pressure group ACF would continue to promote these core values which has united the region irrespective of ethnic and religious sentiments.”
“We must be heard. The whole country need to know what we are doing. So, we are not only committed to these ideals but we are also committed to one Nigeria.”
The new scribe maintained that “we would also help governments at various levels to deal with the suspicion and distrust which has polarised the region.”
He also said those who are talking about 2019 do not have the interest of the country, saying, “Why should we now talk of something that is still far? I don’t give room for such deceitful thinking.”
Earlier, the outgoing Secretary General, Colonel John Ubah (rtd) remarked that he is still part of ACF being an executive member representing Benue State.
Ubah who is a former military administrator of Kebbi State implored the staff of the secretariat to support his successor to achieve the desired goals.
