In a bid to support his constituents during Ramadan and the upcoming Sallah celebration, Alhaji Mani Maishinko (PDP-Sokoto) has disbursed N43 million in cash, along with food items and clothing materials, to 3,500 households in Sokoto State.
Maishinko, who represents the Silame/Binji Federal Constituency, described the initiative as a gesture to alleviate hardship among the vulnerable.
“This is a small way of alleviating the suffering of my people during this sacred period. I remain committed to their welfare and will continue to support them in every way possible,” he said.
The lawmaker emphasised that the donation aligns with his broader efforts to empower his constituents and enhance their living standards. He encouraged beneficiaries to use the assistance wisely and extend kindness to others in need.
At the distribution event, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State, commended Maishinko for his generosity and unwavering dedication to his people.
“We are proud of Maishinko’s achievements and his commitment to the welfare of his constituents,” Goronyo said, offering prayers for his continued success.
Beneficiaries, including orphans, widows, divorcees, and youth groups, expressed gratitude for the support.
The relief package included N43 million in cash, 3,500 bags of grains comprising rice, maize, millet, and guinea corn, as well as clothing materials for the less privileged.
