The head of Papa Alagbeji family in Osolo, Lagos State, Alhaji Taorid Faronbi, popularly known as Alado, has urged the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his deputy, Dr Kadir Hamzat; and Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Bolaji Robert, to hearken to the yearning and cry of people by announcing Prince Saheed Ishola Aregbesola as the Osolo-elect.
Chief Farounbi, who is also the Akinrogun of Isholo, stated that Prince Aregbesola is the sole candidate of Papa Alagbeji’s family to assume the throne of Osolo.
Saying that some people had been going about alleging that he signed letters endorsing certain persons vying for the Isolo throne, Alado emphasised the falsity of such a claim which he described as absolutely untrue.
He thereby called on the governor, his deputy, and the Commissioner to disregard any correspondence outside the one with the name of Aregbesola as the family’s choice for the royal stool.
He added: “I want to make it very clear that as the head of Papa Alagbeji family, the only person I have endorsed for Osolo stool is Prince Saheed Ishola Aregbesola.
“Any other person claiming that I have endorsed him is a chronic liar and impostor.”
