Lifestyle guru, Ruth Osime, clocked 60 recently, and as expected, she rolled out the drums to celebrate her arrival into the sexagenarian club.
The birthday party was in full swing, her friends, Nkiru Anumudu and Mo Abudu hosted the soiree, but the mood was shattered by the news of the crash involving the Access Bank boss, Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and another friend, Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
The celebrant’s mood switched and she recounted her grief some days later.
Ms Osime detailed how she received the shocking news that knocked the wind off her sails in her tribute, describing her relationship with the late Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba, child, Chizzy, and Bimbo Ogunbanjo.
The unfortunate incident called for a sober reflection that depicted the mood of the style aficionado who wrote ‘no matter how much we build, we cannot gauge our time on earth’.
Wigwe’s death shocked many of his friends and associates who could not fail to commend the numerous achievements in his brief journey on earth, with prayers sent to his aged parents and the other loved ones he left behind.
