Chief Segun Runsewe
THE Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Chief Olusegun Runsewe, has commended the role played by the Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria in the amicable resolution of the crisis rocking members of the National Association of Tourism Practitioners (NATOP).
Speaking in Abuja, Runsewe, said the peaceful settlement of the issues bedeviling the association would pave way for the progress of the practitioners as efforts were being made to move the industry to the next level.
He recalled that he earlier invited leaders of the agitators in NATOP to Abuja in order to listen to both sides with a view to finding lasting solutions to their complaints.
He expressed gladness that the efforts had yielded fruits, stating that during the meeting, he reminded the leaders that NATOP as an association was his baby which he licensed in 2011 and had kept close tabs on the affairs and growth of the group since then.
Runsewe used the opportunity to appeal to members of NATOP, to maintain the peace in order to ensure progress of the association and pledged to continually support its activities towards building a vibrant industry for all practitioners.
