A clerk in the House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture slumped and died at the National Assembly on Monday, Tribune Online.
The clerk, Mohammed Shuaibu, was said to have slumped at the National Assembly annex and brought to the clinic in the White House. He, however, could not be resuscitated.
Shuaibu, who was said to have driven himself to Abuja from Zaria, Kaduna State, on Sunday, also reportedly drove himself to work on Monday morning before he died.
According to reports, Shuaibu came in early ahead of meeting of the committee on which he served, though the meeting was postponed due to his health.
The deceased was said to have worked with the committee on internal security before he was moved to the House committee on agricultural production and services.
As of Monday afternoon, the National Assembly management was still meeting on where to bury him.
