
A 65- year-old female fish farmer, Mrs Ademola Bello, at the weekend through ticket number 642 won an all expenses paid trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for subscribing to renewable energy by purchasing a solar energy device at the Nexgen 2018 customer day in Ibadan.
The woman won the only ticket at an event held at the Civic Event Centre, idi-Ape, Ibadan, for the trip at the end of promotion exercise organised by the NexGen Energy in Nigeria customer day 2018 to promote the use of renewable energy in the country.
Nexgen Energy & Allied Services Limited as a company provides products and services in the field of power sector with a particular focus on renewable energy.
The winning ticket was picked at the grand finale where individuals, schools, and organisations also won other solar energy devices.
The economy class ticket was presented to the winner by the Country Director, Nigeria, NexGen Energy Brand and Products, Mrs. Ezinne Ibe, at the ceremony which was attended by people from different parts of the country. She said the winner could take another person with her to Dubai.
Mrs. Bello, in an interview with journalists, thanked NexGen Energy for the gesture, saying she prefers to go to Dubai with her husband, and if she is busy, she would go with her son.

The winner stated further that though she had visited her child in the United States, it would be the first time she would go to Dubai, saying: “I am 65 years old and I am a fish farmer. It’s God favour that made me win the ticket. God answered my prayers because before I came here, I prayed seriously.
“I will like to go to Dubai with my husband or my son. I will like to go with my husband preferably if she is not busy. I am also a busy woman in my fish farm and I need money. But I have to take time off my work to go to Dubai. I thank NexGen Energy for the gesture.”
Country Director, Nigeria, NexGen Energy Brand and Products, Mrs. Ezinne Ibe, said the programme was organised to “appreciate, reward and say thank youto all our customers, partners and cliets all over Nigeria.”

Aside the trip to Dubai, three schools, the two runners up won 500w solar power generating set and 1000w solar powered generating set while about six other consolation solar home kit were won.
In addition, three secondary schools which participated in a quiz competition won various products of the company.
