The remains of the former Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Kehinde Subair, were laid to rest on Friday at his residence in the Olomi-Olunde area of Ibadan.
Senator Teslim Folarin, the 2023 Oyo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led a host of dignitaries to receive the late lawmaker’s body at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, in the early hours of Friday.
Subair’s corpse arrived at his residence around 11 a.m., where the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Agbotomokekere, led the Janazah prayer.

In his admonition, the Chief Imam reminded mourners of the inevitability of death, urging everyone to live a righteous life in preparation for the hereafter.
“We should all endeavour to do good while on earth as we are going to give accounts of our deeds before our Creator,” he said. “Subair has gone. No amount of tears can bring him back, but his good deeds will speak for him.”
He also noted that the late lawmaker’s passing was significant, having occurred during the holy month of Ramadan.
A Fidau prayer in honour of the deceased is scheduled to hold at his residence on Sunday.
