Nigerian comedian and entertainer, Real Warri Pikin, real name Anita Asuoha, has taken her acclaimed show ‘Apologetically Me’ to the international stage with a sold-out performance in the United States.
The event, held on August 30, 2025, at the Grand Occasions Laurel in Maryland, attracted a diverse audience and reinforced her growing status as a global comedy force.
The Maryland show was supported by several diaspora and U.S.-based brands, including Finserve, Jollof Etcetera, AfroJamz Network, Buchymix, 1Luv Foods, and Axiom Consults. Their involvement reflected the strong commercial confidence in Real Warri Pikin’s brand and the rising influence of Nigerian comedy abroad.
Apologetically Me has been staged in multiple cities before its American debut, including Warri, Abuja, Ghana, and the United Kingdom.
Each stop has drawn large audiences, demonstrating the international appeal of African comedians who are successfully converting online popularity into live entertainment ventures.
The U.S. outing comes just over a year after Real Warri Pikin’s fifth edition of the show in Abuja. That performance, staged at the This Day Dome on July 28, 2024, drew over 3,000 attendees and featured appearances by comedians Funny Timo, MC Royal, and Zigabella, as well as music stars Peruzzi and Reekado Banks.
Her company, RWP Entertainment, had announced plans to take the show global after the Abuja edition, naming the UK, US, and Canada as priority destinations. The sold-out Maryland performance confirms the execution of that vision and her growing global reach.
Real Warri Pikin, who began her career creating comedic skits on social media, has now evolved into one of Nigeria’s most successful comedic exports. With her first U.S. show concluded on a high note, attention is turning to the next stop in her international tour.
