Oyo State National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Executives came on board in December 2013 during a Delegates Conference held at Ogbomoso. NULGE National Leadership organized a Special National Delegates Conference where all the 36 state branches and FCT participated and the Delegates Conference (highest and lawful organ of the union) In-Session after amending some sections approved a motion to suspend elections into all levels of Exco for  two years for fundamental and strategic reasons such as is presently unfolding in the country.

The Oyo State NULGE President was elected the first Vice-Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State in 2015. The tenure is for four years. Olatunji Simeon, who claimed to be a NULGE Chairman between the years 2005 to 2012, ought to have investigated or made his findings well before embarking on this drive. It may interest you that certain elements went to court to challenge the National Delegates Conference decision and had their case thrown out.

The Oyo State NULGE Executives tenure ends in December 2019.
