The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) commenced its 73rd Annual Convention on Monday with the graduation of 6,760 students from the Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC).
The graduation ceremony, held at the Redemption City, Ogun State, marked a significant milestone for RCCG, as students received certificates, diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees across various theological and ministry-related programmes.
Provost of RCBC, Pastor Alabi Oti, who addressed the gathering, stated that the institution remains dedicated to producing leaders equipped for both local and global ministry.

“For the 2024/2025 academic session, we are grateful to God for enabling us to graduate a total of 6,760 students,” he said. “Despite the many challenges faced both in Nigeria and globally, God has given us a bountiful harvest.”
Pastor Oti acknowledged the unwavering leadership of RCCG and the support of the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, in steering the college toward another successful academic year.
He also affirmed that RCBC continues to maintain its affiliations with Redeemer’s University and the University of Ibadan. Particularly highlighted was the Diploma in Youth Ministry programme in partnership with Redeemer’s University, which saw the graduation of 13 youth provincial leaders this year.
He encouraged the church’s Youth and Young Adult Ministries to adopt the Diploma in Youth Ministry as a mandatory requirement for all youth pastors, stressing its value in nurturing effective leadership among young people.
In his address and blessing to the graduates, Pastor Adeboye prayed for divine guidance and support as they step into ministry and other callings.
“You are not leaving here with mere certificates,” he declared. “You are leaving with divine backing, God’s anointing, and the assurance that you will not fail Him or disappoint yourselves.”
The graduation also featured a sermon titled ‘Every Knee Must Bow’ delivered by Pastor Charles Achonwa of Doulous Ministries, who reminded the congregation that all creation exists for God’s glory and urged believers to honour God with their lives and ministries.
The event officially kicked off RCCG’s 2025 convention, which is expected to host tens of thousands of worshippers from Nigeria and around the world.
