American rapper and YouTuber DDG has addressed the backlash he received on social media after announcing his breakup with Halle Bailey, who is also the mother of his child.
During an appearance on the ‘No Ordinary Podcast,’ DDG explained that their split is simply a part of life, stressing that he and Halle remain close. He expressed love and respect for her, assuring fans that they are still family.
“There’s no bad blood between us. I love her deeply, and no matter what happens, she’ll always be family,” DDG shared.
He also pushed back against the speculation surrounding their breakup, emphasising that no one was at fault. “Nobody was wrong in this situation. We’re just taking a little break and don’t know what the future holds.”
DDG urged the public to respect their privacy, asking fans to stop creating rumours and speculations. “Anything beyond my statement is nobody’s business. People are making up stories, but we’re good,” he said.
He further addressed the negativity he’s seen online: “I see the comments and DMs, and it’s frustrating. People talk like they know the full story, but they don’t.”
In his final remarks, DDG emphasised the need for boundaries, reminding fans that public figures only share limited information. “When we give you a statement, take it and move on. You don’t know the full details, so mind your business.”
