Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi has discovered fraud in the N4.8 billion state’s program Ramadan feedings in the state.
The governor made the discovery during an unexpected visit to some cooking and distribution centers in Dundubu, Karniya, Limawa and Kachi wards in Dutse municipal local government area where he (governor) detected irregularities in the productions and distribution of the foods
Malam Umar Namadi who tasted the food in the centers decried the poor quality, taste and quantity of the Ramadan prepared foods packaged.
He directed the project supervising commissioner of Special Duties Mr. Auwalu Danladi Sankara and centers supervisors to be up and doing by ensuring the agreed qualities and qualities of the foods is served in the state.

Governor Malam Umar Namadi expressed worries on the poor preparations and distribution of the breakfast meals to the public to break their fasting.
He said, “look at this, why this? Where is the supervisor? Haba! Haba! Why?”
He therefore warned the ministry for special duties, local government areas, wards supervisor to be up and doing to ensure quality, hygienic and quality of the foods across the state.
Tribune Online reports that the governor Malam Umar Namadi approved the released of over N4.8 billion to the ministry of Special Duties under Mr Auwalu Danladi Sankara to provide free a single meal daily to 300 people in two centers of each of the 287 political wards in the state through our the holy month of Ramadan.
Reports gathered also indicated that the foods items supply, cooking and distribution contracts was awarded to members of the executive council, special Adviser and Assistance, Party’s (APC) bigwigs in the state and local areas.
