The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Is-haq Oloyede, has urged parents to ensure the proper upbringing of their wards in both Western and Islamic education, saying it is by doing so that the children will fit properly into society.
Oloyede made the remarks as the guest of honour at the Family Day Graduation ceremony of Noble Guide Academy (NGA), Kubwa, Abuja.
Represented by a director from the Board, Mallam Ibrahim Kawu, the JAMB boss, while advising the students said they need the combination of Islamic and Western education for proper guidance in life while adding that the (graduation) ceremony is the beginning of another phase in their academic pursuit.
He commended the President/Founder of NGA, Mallam Abdulbasit Bakare, for maintaining high standard of education in his school urging him to keep the flag flying.
“Our children need morals and education. They need the combination of Islamic and Western education for proper guidance in life to succeed. To you graduands, this is just the beginning of another phase of your life and do not relent.
“I want to commend the President/Founder of the school, Mallam Abdulbasit Bakare for sustaining high standard of education in this school. Please keep the flag flying,” Oloyede said.
Mallam Bakare, in his words, called on the students to always be good ambassadors of the school wherever they may go in the world. He stated that the school has instilled in the students, the spirit of hard work, perseverance and discipline to face any challenges they may come across in the course of their career.
