Angry residents of Ruwan Bore Ward in Gusau Local Government Area besieged the Government House in Gusau on Wednesday evening, protesting the incessant attacks by armed bandits on their villages in Zamfara State.
The aggrieved communities : including Ruwan Bore, Mada, Wonaka, Fegin Mahe, Kanawa, and Tudun Wada, mostly made up of youths, staged a peaceful protest, appealing to the government to improve security and protect their lives and property.

According to one of the spokespersons for the protesters, Malam Ibrahim, insecurity has forced no fewer than twenty communities to abandon their homes in recent days.
“Armed banditry, killings, and abductions for ransom have become the order of the day. Bandits now operate at any time. We have lost many of our loved ones. We are tired of the insecurity in our communities,” he lamented.
