The first female Accountant-General of the Federation and founder/chairperson of the Olowo Oloye Foundation for Empowerment and Education, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, has urged the new leadership of the Iperu-Akesan Development Association (IDA) to prioritise unity, peace, inclusiveness and sustainable development by building on existing achievements, sustaining ongoing projects and initiating programmes capable of positively impacting the lives of the people.

Madein, in a statement by her media consultant, Temitope Oyekan, wished the new officers a successful and impactful tenure.

She congratulated the re-elected president, Otunba Taiwo Oyebanjo, describing his return to office as an opportunity to consolidate the administration’s previous achievements and further advance the development agenda of Iperu-Akesanland.

Other elected officers included the association’s vice-president and Giwa of the Blessed Bomode Oku Society, Prince Stephen Oluwole Adekalu; the general secretary and project coordinator of the Olowo Oloye Foundation, Prince Victor Gbolahan Oso; and the financial secretary and coordinator of the Ansar-ur-Deen Primary School, Iperu Old Pupils Association, Alhaji Ade Nureni Amusa, among others.

The former accountant-general commended the IDA for its contributions to the growth, development and welfare of Iperu-Remo, noting that the association’s achievements under successive administrations reflected the commitment of its leaders and members to community advancement.

She expressed confidence that collective commitment, mutual respect and purposeful collaboration would enable the new executive to take the association to greater heights.
