Former Governor of Zamfara state, Senator Abdulaziz Yari has urged religious leaders to intensify prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to overcome challenges of insecurity and economic hardship in the state and country at large.
Senator Yari disclosed this on Thursday evening at his Talata Mafara residence while addressing the committee for the distribution of Ramadan welfare packages and other party stakeholders who paid him Sallah’s homage in the state.
He called on Muslims to learn from the teachings they learned during the fasting period and also Pray for the president to succeed and overcome the problems of insecurity and economic hardship in the country.
“We must repent and pray hard to overcome the current challenges facing the country, our President who is the commander in chief need to continue prayers to overcome the challenges of insecurity and economic hardship in the state and country as a whole,” Yari said.
Speaking further, Yari said a plan is underway to sponsor and increase enrollment of out-of-school children across the state.
In his remark, the committee chairman who also doubles as chairman of the Senator Yari political organization, Alhaji Lawal M Liman Kaura disclosed that Yari has put a smile on many families as a result of the Ramadan welfare package across the state.
“Former Governor Abdulaziz Yari, now Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District at the National Assembly and leader of APC in the state, has put more smiles to people as a result of the gesture during the Ramadan fasting in the state,” he said.
According to Liman, the gesture has assisted less privileged families during fasting and Sallah festivities in the state.
“Many of the beneficiaries of the gesture were Islamic scholars, youth and women groups and associations as well as community leaders and less privileged persons across the state,” he said.
