Port Harcourt entrepreneurs honored as captains of industry in celebration of Rivers State’s 50th anniversary

In a historic ceremony commemorating Rivers State’s 50th anniversary, selected entrepreneurs from Port Harcourt were celebrated as captains of industry for their exceptional contributions to the state’s economic and social development. These trailblazers, representing diverse sectors such as interior design, manufacturing, oil and gas, and technology, were recognized for their innovation, job creation, and efforts in positioning Rivers State as a hub of industrial excellence.

As part of the golden jubilee celebrations, entrepreneurs were interviewed by Eombiznetwork, who spotlighted their achievements and gathered insights into the ways Rivers State has supported their journeys. Among the honorees was Omeba Ejiogu, CEO of Chauntelle Home Ideas, a renowned interior design firm with over a decade of experience in creating functional and artistic spaces.

During her interview, Ejiogu highlighted the role of Rivers State in nurturing her entrepreneurial aspirations:

The initiative also included discussions on the state’s industrial growth, challenges facing entrepreneurs, and visions for the next 50 years. Many honorees emphasized the need for improved infrastructure, stronger mentorship programs, and policies to attract investment as critical steps toward sustaining economic development.

The Rivers at 50 celebration served as a reflection on the state’s rich history and a bold statement of its promising future as a commercial hub in Nigeria. Through their interviews, the entrepreneurs shared their stories of resilience and innovation, inspiring future generations to build on the state’s legacy.
