THE Federal Character Commission (FCC) Commissioner representing Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, has urged youths across the state to take advantage of the ongoing Nigeria Police recruitment exercise, particularly those who have been shortlisted for screening.

Aleshinloye made the call during an interview with journalists, stressing the importance of active participation in the process.

He warned that failure by eligible candidates to turn up could have long-term implications for Oyo State’s representation in the police.

He noted that other regions of the country are maximising such opportunities and cautioned that Oyo youths must not be left behind.

The commissioner also reaffirmed his commitment to sensitising citizens on the principles of the Federal Character Commission, emphasising fairness, equity, and inclusiveness to ensure that no state or group is marginalised.

He added that he would continue to advocate for Oyo State to secure its fair share of federal opportunities, urging shortlisted applicants to present themselves for screening before the exercise ends on April 18.
