The Police in Ogun State said it recovered 63 arms and ammunitions in the last two weeks from suspected criminals.
The State Police Commissioner, Kenneth Ebrimson, stated this on Tuesday while parading 32 suspects arrested for various offences.
Ebrinsom said 12 varieties of arms and 51 ammunitions were recovered within two weeks of the launch of ‘Operation Restore Hope’.
The Police boss said the suspected criminals were arrested for offences ranging from kidnapping, murder, cultism and armed robbery.

The CP said due diligence and tactical deployment led to the successful mop-up of criminals by the men from special units such as the Anti-Kidnapping, Anti-Cultism, SARS and conventional policemen in the team of Operation Restore Hope.
He commended residents of the State for providing useful information on the activities and hideouts of criminals declaring that the Command would not hesitate to deal decisively with anybody who chose to take to crime as a business.
Ebrinsom said, “Police in Ogun have rolled every arsenal available for us to wage war against all would-be criminals in this yuletide season and after, as Ogun will not be a safe haven for them orchestrate their evil acts.”
On the yuletide celebration, the Police chief said large numbers of policemen had been deployed in Lagos-Ibadan, Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode-Benin and Lagos-Sango-Abeokuta expressways, to forestall any form of crime and traffic robbery during the festive period.
