Police parade Islamic teacher for defiling students

The Sokoto state police Commissioner, CP. Ibrahim Kaoje has declared Sokoto state a no go area for criminals, saying his mission is to get the state rid of illegal activities.

The Commissioner stated this while parading an Islamic teacher, Mallam Murtala who specialises in having carnal knowledge of his students (Almajiris), in Arkilla area of the state.

The fake Islamic teacher was arrested after the state branch of human rights lawyers and activist reported his case to the state police command following a tip-off.

Speaking with Journalists, the suspect admitted committing the crime, saying he was doing it to get rich.

According to him, “I  have been doing this with them for close to a year, I have where I normally write it down.

“Among these students, we have here, I have done it with six of them, whom I normally make use of regularly.

“I am married to one wife, I told the police officers the truth about it and I will repeat myself here now, I am doing it to get rich” he added.

The suspect, however, denied giving the children out for people to practice homosexual, saying, “I have never given them out to anyone else to practice homosexual with. In fact, I don’t know of anyone doing such in my area apart from me” he concluded.

Also speaking, some of the victims who spoke with Journalists admitted that the suspect has been engaging them in the act for months now.

“It is true our Mallam has been having sex with us in the night. Whenever I am sleeping, he will bring out his thing to put in my body until he released.

Another victim also confirms the story, “He started with me less than a year after I arrived at his house, I know of six of us here and he always does it in the middle of the night with us. Anytime we try to resist him, he will beat us” he concluded.

The victims who are from Zamfara state were kept in the care of the suspect to acquire Quranic education which generally knows as Almajiris.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police also paraded armed robbers and led by one Alhaji Isiak, where different items were recovered from them like Plasma Television, Mattress, Phones, Car, Gallons of vegetable oil, charms, cutlasses and many others.

Also paraded were some bandits who have been terrorising the people of Kebbe local government and it’s environment, while one Ali Custom, a notorious Indian hemp dealer was declared wanted.

While speaking, the state police Commissioner, CP Ibrahim Kaoje, vows that the suspects, especially the fake Mallam will be arranged before Friday.

He, however, challenges the general public to follow up the case saying, What is it is for people to follow it up so that they will not go and released him, some of these people are terrible, They are in a secret society” he added.

He, however, revealed that the command is working tirelessly with human rights Commission in the state to manage the Almajiris centre to avoid reoccurrence of such bad incident.
