According to British Transport Police (BTP), the incident occurred shortly after 8:40 pm on July 28. Officers responded to reports of an assault and found a man with serious injuries. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, though his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Footage circulating online appears to show Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, near the injured man. In the video, Robinson is heard claiming that the victim attacked him. “He come at me, bruv,” he says, before repeating to an onlooker: “He come at me, you saw that.”
Police later confirmed that Robinson, 42, believed to be from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the UK in the early hours of Tuesday, just hours after the video emerged.
In an official statement, British Transport Police (BTP) said, “Following a report of an assault at St Pancras station last night (28 July), officers have confirmed that the suspect, a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of this morning. Detectives are continuing to work closely to progress the investigation and bring him into custody for questioning.”
Authorities have not disclosed Robinson’s destination.
The far-right monitoring group Hope Not Hate has described Robinson as the “best-known far-right extremist in Britain.” In recent years, Robinson has styled himself as a journalist, often focusing on anti-Muslim and anti-immigration content.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to text 61016, quoting reference 655 of 28 July.
