FOUR unemployed men on Wednesday appeared in Chief Magistrates’ Court, Kaduna, for allegedly inciting disturbances.
The police charged Ayuba Nuhu, Kabiru Bala, Bello Saidu and Bello Yushau, all residents of Mahawayi in Giwa LGA of Kaduna State, with two counts of criminal conspiracy and inciting a public disturbance.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Chidi Leo told the court that the Giwa Divisional Police Station on Feb. 20, transferred the matter to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.

According to Leo, on the same date at about 3.30p.m, DSP Aliyu Nuhu and his team received information that the defendants and 16 other men at large, engaged themselves in a fight using sticks and cutlasses.
He said that the action caused a breach of public peace, adding that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 59 and 78 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mr Ibrahim Musa, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50, 000 each with one surety each in like sum.
Musa ordered that each surety must be resident within the jurisdiction of the court and he adjourned hearing on the matter until March 22.
