A statement issued by the PPRO of the Command, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar contained that on the same day at about 1330hrs some thugs armed with machetes and other dangerous weapons attacked an office in Re-insurance House building along Ahmadu Bello Way, Bauchi causing bodily injury to some people.
The PPRO stated that as a result of the violent attack five persons sustained machetes cuts while one of them sustained fracture on his hand and leg. The victims of the attack are, Aliyu Shamaki, Haruna Aliyu, Nazir M Nazir, Danjuma Hassan and Jibrin alias JB.
On receipt of the report according to the PPRO, a combined team of Police from the GRA Division and Federal Special Anti- Robbery Squad Bauchi (FSARS) swung into action and arrested the suspected attackers.
The suspects arrested in connection with the attack are Alhaji Sunusi 35 years who is believed to be the gang leader, Musa Mohammed 25 years, Ashiru Suleiman 25 years, Abubakar Bello 20 years and Usman Abubakar 20 years
Other suspects arrested are Jamilu Garba 21 years, Yusuf Dahiru, 25 years aka ‘Eminem’ Abdulazeez Dabo “m” 25 years and Kabiru Inuwa 22 years.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects according to the PPRO include: Four cutlasses, One long Knife and some quantity of dry leave suspected to be Indian hemp.

Kamal Datti Abubakar said that all the suspects have voluntarily confessed to have participated in the attack and were all charged to court on Friday, 20/04/2018.
“Finally the Command calls on the general public to cooperate with Police in its fight against crime and criminality in the state and report any suspicious person or object to the nearest Police Station or call the Command emergency phone number 08151849417” the PPRO stated.
