Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham on Monday appealed to her supporters, known as “Toyin Titans,” to stop attacking her former protégé, Pelumi Olawuni, popularly known as Abike Shugaa, following a public dispute that has dominated social media in recent days.

In a short video shared on Snapchat, Abraham addressed her followers directly, calling for calm, forgiveness, and a shift away from the controversy.

“Please, to everybody, it’s okay. Please forgive her,” Abraham said, pausing intermittently as she addressed her followers directly.

She acknowledged that anger is a natural human reaction but stressed the need for restraint.

“There is no one that cannot get angry. Even Jesus was angry… let everything slide. This is a new week. Toyin Titans, no distractions, please,” she added.

Abraham also urged her fans to refocus their attention, hinting at upcoming projects and a busy release schedule.

“We have a big task ahead of us. We have a lot of YouTube movies coming, and we have a bigger task ahead of us in December,” she said.

Reflecting on past controversies, the actress referenced a period when she faced backlash online after supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“For those asking why I didn’t spill the tea in 2023 and 2024… they were bashing me that period, they wanted to kill me,” she said.

She added that recent events had influenced her approach to relationships and personal boundaries.

“You said create boundaries, I will create boundaries. You said I should stop helping people, no problem. I have learnt my lesson, her too has learnt hers. Let it slide, let us change the topic,” she added.

Her appeal comes amid fresh developments involving Abike Shugaa, who disclosed on Sunday that she received a privacy-related notice from YouTube over a video detailing the dispute.

According to the notice, the platform flagged specific timestamps for potential privacy concerns, giving her the option to edit or remove the content before further review, with no strike or penalty issued so far.

In response, Abike reacted sarcastically, suggesting critics had coordinated efforts to mass-report the video.

The rift between the two became public after Abike released a lengthy video recounting their relationship, from mentorship and early career support to its breakdown, which she said involved allegations of control, betrayal, and threats; claims Abraham has denied.

The video, uploaded last Friday and now with over 100,000 views, details Abike’s account of events, which she said she was ready to share after years of silence.

Tensions escalated further when she accepted a Public Relations (PR) package from Funke Akindele for “A Tribe Called Judah,” a decision she said had been communicated beforehand, with permission to support colleagues at the cinema for a limited period.

While Abike maintains she is telling her side of the story, Abraham has declined a detailed rebuttal, insisting she will not engage in public disputes.
