Abuja will once again host one of Africa’s foremost peace advocacy gatherings as preparations intensify for the 15th edition of the Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards, scheduled for November 8, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
The annual event, organized by the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation in partnership with the Peace Ambassador Agency, will focus on the theme: “Peace Building Through Sectoral Partnerships: Public and Private Sector Collaboration.”
This year’s edition will not only commemorate the 15th anniversary of the prestigious conference but also celebrate individuals and organizations making remarkable contributions to peacebuilding, humanitarian service, and national development.
Highlights of the ceremony include the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees by the American Management University, California, USA, and the presentation of the Peace Icon Awards across various categories.
These include Brand Company of the Year, Most Influential Personality of the Year, Peace Advocate of the Year, among others. Peace Builders, Emerging Leaders, Community Developers, and Humanitarians will also be recognized.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, the Project Director of Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation and Peace Ambassador Agency, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, described the event as a milestone in the organization’s long-standing commitment to promoting peace and national unity.
“This year’s edition is special as it coincides with 15 years of consistent advocacy for peace, unity, and positive change in Nigeria,” Amafibe said. “The honours are strictly in recognition of the achievements and impact of the recipients, irrespective of ethnicity or religious affiliation.”
He further explained that the Peace Achievers platform, as a non-profit initiative, channels resources from its partners into projects aimed at uplifting the less privileged.
Some of the foundation’s interventions include Peace Education Campaigns, Health Outreach Schemes, Back-to-School Campaigns, and various human capacity development initiatives that complement government efforts at local, state, and federal levels.
This year’s ceremony will also feature music, comedy, fashion exhibitions, and other side attractions, creating a blend of entertainment and advocacy.
