A pilot died on Monday after a light aircraft crashed during crop-spraying operations in South Australia, police said.
According to a statement from SA Police, the crash happened near Yeelanna, about 275 km west of Adelaide.
The pilot, a 36-year-old man and the sole occupant, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police said major crash investigators were sent on Monday night to look into the incident.

They added that the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) would also investigate. In a statement, the ATSB said the Air Tractor agricultural aircraft “collided with terrain while spraying crops.”
According to DailyMail UK, the bureau said investigators specialising in aircraft operations would visit the site to collect evidence and examine the wreckage. Parts recovered from the crash will be analysed at the ATSB’s technical facilities in Canberra.
